K & B Machine Tool Services Ltd is an independent UK company located in Lincoln offering the highest Technical CNC Service support and sales of ancillary equipment Nationwide and in Europe. It was founded by Kevin and Barbara Gilbert in 1988 and has continued to expand its services to the machine tool industry while maintaining its commitment to continual improvement and training ensuring total customer satisfaction. During 1988 the company was awarded exclusive servicing of Brother HS100 EDM in the UK and started to assist Major OEM's with Installation and Service Support of C.N.C Machine Tools. In 1993 a factory unit was obtained to enable refurbishment of C.N.C. Lathes, vertical and horizontal machining centres and E.D.M machines. Work began on international contracts in Israel, Belgium, Germany, Poland, Malaysia and Nigeria. The service department continued to expand during 1994 and 1995 and Fixed Price Comprehensive Service contracts and quotations were offered tailored to meet the individual requirements of the customer. In 1996 the Renishaw Q.C 10 Ballbar System was introduced to meet the demands of customers requiring higher accuracy and reliability of their machine tools. K & B Machine Tool Services Ltd was awarded the exclusive agency for all technical Support and Service for Sameca Barguiding Products and due to the rapid expansion it was necessary to move to larger premises at 1 Farrier Road, Lincoln. 1999 has shown impressive growth with K & B becoming the Authorised Distributor for the UK and exclusive Service Support in the UK and Europe for Midaco Pallet Systems and Dorian Tool Turrets. Also obtaining the Approved Authorised Distributor for Bock Workholding Systems in the UK. K & B now offers Total Maintenance Management with Consultancy using the latest PC based maintenance software.
